We understand you want to make the most of your first week of student life, that’s why we’ve developed the Fresh Fest mobile app which allows you to find out where the best student events are happening while you’re out and about.
You can even find out what night clubs are closest to your location and put yourself on the guestlist before you get there!

If you love music then you love Capitol!
Right in the heart of Sauchiehall's gig district we are proud to be one of Glasgow's finest small venues. Here you can find live music in our basement venue, a cutting edge juke box, a full size pool table and our infamous karaoke booths, perfect for those with more passion than talent.
Food is served from 12 noon to 10pm Monday to Saturday and you'll find our menu full of old favourites and great deals.
The staff are friendly and always willing to argue the finer points of classic albums or point you in the direction of their own mixtape CD on our juke box to hear some lesser known heroes.
Everyday you can find our tables filled with a mixture of office workers and students, gig goers and musicians. Hen nights mix with lads nights and over it all our DJs play what every one came here for. If you love music then you love Capitol.

Get ready for the best introduction to city living with Fresh Fest, a brand new urban festival taking place in Glasgow throughout September bringing a bit of festival magic to the first few weeks of your university life.
Throughout Fresh Fest 2010, you can enjoy a jam packed three weeks of events. Expect everything from record fairs, outdoor BBQ’s and all day carnivals, to burlesque nights, house parties, and some of the best club nights in the city. Not to mention your chance to see special guest DJs, live bands and acoustic sets from the UK’s biggest acts.
Fresh Fest 2010 is also bringing you a Film Festival, a three week showcase of films from world cinema, cult classics and independent pictures to wind down to after a hard day festivaling.
With over twenty festival venues across three cities, Fresh Fest 2010 is the biggest and most anticipated urban festival in Scotland. You even have the chance to win a modeling contract with a top model agency and lots more prizes, giveaways and freebies.
So dig out your wellies and don the straw hat as this is definitely one not to miss this September!
